Hawaii Student Coral Reef Ecology Expedition: July 30-August 13 2009                                                                                                           

Ages: 15-18

This summer Ocean Blue Education will premier their Coral Reef Ecology Expedition in Maui. For two weeks students will explore The Valley Isle from its mountainous terrain to its underwater kingdom. O.B.E. involves their students in a diverse curricullum including: dive certification, current ocean research, marine ecology, photography, island exploration, and more. Participants will enjoy diving with manta rays, turtles, and reef sharks; hiking and camping in the volcanic crater of 10,000 ft Haleakala; adventuring through bamboo forests and waterfalls; and taking an active role in ensuring healthy ocean ecosystems for the future.
